The GiGA internet 2015 KeSPA Cup Season 1 is a WCS Tier 2 offline tournament organized by KeSPA.[1]
Format[edit]
Invites[edit]
Eight players are invited:
- 2014 KeSPA Cup Champion and Runner up: Zest & herO
- SSL Season 1 Champion and Runner up: Maru & Dream
- GSL Season 1 Champion and Runner up: Life & PartinG
- 2015 SPL Round 2 Top 2 Ranked Players:[2] Rogue & Losira
Qualifiers[edit]
The eight remaining places are decided with 3 qualifiers each played on a different server. Each qualifier is played in a single-elimination format and the number of qualifying spots is as follow:[3]
- 3 spots from the European Qualifier (April 10 at 16:00 CEST).
- 2 spots from the American Qualifier (April 10 at 16:00 PDT).
- 3 spots from the Korean & Taiwanese Qualifier (April 11 at 16:00 KST).
Main Tournament[edit]
- Single-elimination bracket of sixteen players.
- Round of 16, Quarterfinals and Semifinals are Bo5.
- Final is a Bo7.
Prize Pool[edit]
25,000,000 KRW (~22,775 USD) and 4,000 WCS Points are spread among the players as seen below.
