Enigma for Hair

The owners and operators of this massive salon have certainly done their homework. They've kept the interior design to a sturdy, practical minimum; put flawless, contemporary styling options up on a wall in a gallery-like manner (ie: not tackly like some barbers do with their fading 80s-looking pinups); have friendly staff who offer realistic styling suggestions; and provide all manner of beauty treatments as well as critical haircare.

On my most recent trip here, I got to see their recently added Enigma Alpha Male department, dedicated fully to the more hirsute of the species. Requesting a simple brow wax, the job was over in a matter of minutes, only cost $15 and left me looking masc rather than fem like atlernative, inferior salons can leave a lad looking.

Five stars: one for the look of the place; one for the laidback vibe; one for the quality of service; one for its convenient location (a few doors down from my favourite cafe, Milkd); and one of course for the neat arcade game they have in the corner to muck about with during your brief wait for a treatment!

Use to be a regular at Enigma. My last visits I was charged $40 for a number 2, this did not include a wash. Not only did it happen once, but twice.

I would recommend checking out Barber Shop in Leederville instead.
