Although listed as new, the packaging was taped and looked worn
I purchased a clear TPU cover for the 3DS LL which fit fine, but the cover was slightly yellow, not too noticeable. The packaging however was not in great condition, worn, faded, and a little dirty. The case itself after being cleaned was fine, no damage.The TPU cover was what I was looking for, a soft shell which won't cause scratches when being put on or taken off the 3DS LL.

クール・クラウンのTPUカバー
 (3DSLL用)TPUケース(クリアブラック)
と使い比べてのレビューです。

【良い点】
商品名の通り、ハードカバーと比べてやわ硬カタな感触が良いです。
すべすべした3DSLL表面と比べてグリップ感が増して持ちやすくなりました。
特にタッチペン使用時など片手でホールドする際に持ち手側の位置がズレたり滑ったりということがなくなりました。

【悪い点】
ハードカバーと比べて材質の分、重量がかなり増加します。
正確に量ったわけではありませんが、3DSLLの重さもあってか長時間持ち続けるとかなり疲れます。

【クール・クラウン製品との違い】
大まかな形状に大差はありません。
カバーの厚さは、クール・クラウン製品と比べてほんの少しだけ厚いようです。
持った際に体感できるほどの重さの違いはありません。

本体下部の電源ランプ・充電ランプの部分がクール・クラウン製品は完全にカバーで覆っているのに対して、
こちらの製品はランプ部分に穴が開いています。

本体下部の左右の角は、クール・クラウン製品は本体の形状に沿うような形で四辺と変わらない覆い方になっていますが、
こちらの製品はやや広めに突き出して角を覆うようなカバー形状になっています。

固定のため本体背面にはめ込む部分がありますが、クール・クラウン製品は比較的簡単に外すことができますが、
こちらの製品は非常に硬く一度はめ込んだら力を込めて外さないと外れません。

この製品のサンプル画像にはなぜか写っていませんが、本体天面部の左下にNINTENDO 3DSLLのロゴが入っています。
公認ライセンス商品だからでしょうか？
カスタマーさんの掲載したカスタマーイメージ画像を見れば、どの位置にロゴが入っているか分かると思います。
ロゴは透明です。
クール・クラウン製品にはロゴはありません。

重量さえ気にならなければ、非常に使い勝手が良い製品だと思います。
着用すると充電台が使えない点が欠点といえば欠点なのですが、カバー系製品全てが同様なので評価を落とす要素にはなりませんでした。

普段、携帯ゲーム機には保護カバーをつけない派の私なのですが、トモダチコレクション新生活パックの
本体が全体的に特殊なデザインがプリントされているもののため、プリントが傷むのが嫌だと思い、急遽
このカバーを購入しました。

他の方がレビューされていますとおり、素材はやわらかすぎず、固すぎずで素晴らしいと感じました。

本体上部のカバーは、すばらしいフィット感で大満足でした。
しかし、問題は本体下部のカバーでした。

な、なんでしょうかコレは。二つの突起がソフトを入れるスロットの横にある穴に入りません！！！

頑張ってみたのですが、どうしても入りませんでした。
おかしいですね。トモダチコレクション新生活パックの本体だけ、ちょっと
本体下部が大きめなのでしょうか？
そんなことはないはずなんですが。不思議でした。

やむなく私は、二つの突起をはさみで切った状態で、このカバーを
使っています。
ううむ、アクションゲームのプレイ中にカバーがはずれないといいんですが。
怖いです。

ホリに上記のレビューの症状（「トモダチコレクション新生活パックにこのカバーがはまらない」）
を問い合わせてみたところ、初期不良ということがわかり、交換してもらう
ことになりました。

他の方のレビューの中にも、「カバーがはまらないので無理矢理入れたら
本体が傷んでしまった」というものが散見されるようですが、入らないときは
無理に入れることはせず、すぐに交換してもらった方がよいでしょう。

以前から使っていた同じものが経年劣化で黄ばみ、見た目汚くなってきたので買い換えました。本体をきっちりガードしてくれるので、商品には満足してます。値段が安ければもっといいのですが。

クリアブルーを購入したが、実に美しいクリアブルーである。
本体裏の説明やバーコードが透けて見える程度はクリアである。
触感は確かに軟硬い感じだが、シリコンカバーと違ってカッチリしており、また、静電気ゴミも付きにくい。
ただ、よく見ると手が汚いと指紋汚れは付着する。

カバーできない部分は、ひんじ部分とLRボタンとDSカードスロットの一帯。
3Dカメラレンズ部分、電源ランプ、イヤホンジャック、左右ストラップ部。
SDカードとタッチペン穴部分、ボリュームスイッチ、3D調整スイッチ、無線スイッチとランプ部分である。

装着は、蓋側がバスタブ型を被せるだけで、下本体側が、同じくバスタブ型を被せた後、赤外線ポート横と充電ポート横のそれぞれの穴に突起を引っ掛ける方式だ。
この引っ掛けた突起の分だけヒンジ側の厚みが増す為、3DSLL専用の充電台が使えなくなる。
充電台に置いても、充電用端子が届かなくなるのだ。
また、仕組みの関係で、画面側にカバーの縁が廻り込んでくる。
正確には内側のカメラのレンズ縁部分までカバーが来る感じだ。
下側は十字キーの下と電源スイッチの下側に、斜めにカバーが掛かるが、これはカバーを固定保持する為のものだ。
とくに邪魔にはならないので問題はないだろう。

ちなみにカバー自体の厚みは、部位によりばらつきはあるかもしれないが、おおよそ1.3〜1.4mmだ。
つまりこのカバーを装着すると全体で2.6〜2.8mm程度厚みが増す事になる。
ただ、3DSLL用として販売されている持ち運び用保護ケースには問題なく入れる事ができるので問題はないだろう。

クリアと言っても、白っぽいクリアです。

ピンクのDSに装着しましたが、キッチリとはまり、ピンクの色もしっかり見えるので問題なかったです。

このカバーは、柔らかさも少し有る硬めのカバーといった感じです。

プラスチックではないので、落として割れる事はなさそうです。

Its slim and very compact.
Now, this is the problem!
In order to access certain buttons on the 3DS LL/ “New” Nintendo 3DS XL you need to either adjust it to one set you won’t bother changing again! or you will be forced every time you need change something to remove the bottom casing!
Also, if you want to change games you will be forced AGAIN! To remove the case!
Why would this happen? Why would you need to remove this case again and again you may ask?
Well, I tell you. This case is made with the 3DS XL in mind, its compatible with the 3DS LL/ “New” Nintendo 3DS XL, meaning it will fit but its actually not MADE for the new systems.
Very disappointed in hori for marketing the case to 3DS LL/ “New” Nintendo 3DS XL owners.
I always had high expectations with them cause there products are of good quality but not this time!

5つ星のうち5.0 Long review...Conclusion: Protect your 3DS with a plastic HORI case, I don't think you'll regret it

First, I'd like to say: If you are going to buy a case for your 3DS system, make sure to buy one made by HORI. They have blended the perfect plastic material to protect your system without weighing it down too much or making it difficult to install and uninstall. I own one 3DS and one 3DSXL and have tried a few cases over the years. After getting this one, I know that I will buy all of my 3DS accessories from HORI in the future.
If anyone is wondering, the HORI clear case JP version and EN version are the same product, the only difference is that the JP version has 'Nintendo 3DS LL' stamped onto it while the EN has 'Nintendo 3DS XL.' You can only really see the stamped lettering up close, and I don't know if anyone would mind LL instead of XL anyway. (Side note: The JP packaging is much more interesting)
:DESIGN: 10/10
The case itself is perfect. You can tell right away that it is made of a high quality semi-rubberized plastic. I was worried that a clear case might have a clouding or semi-opaque finish that would blur out my XL's design, but this one is almost perfectly clear. It is easy to install/uninstall, but it doesn't come off unless you want it to. The ports, sliders, stylus, and camera lenses are easily accessible and the case's fit on the XL is precise. The plastic is a little bit glossy and it isn't as transparent as fresh glass, so it changes the color of the system a tiny bit, but not enough to bother me. The rubberized quality gives the system a little bit of resistance to sliding on angled surfaces and also gives you a good grip when you hold it in your hands.
:PROTECTION: 9/10
It seems to be highly protective, as the plastic looks to be almost a centimeter thick, my XL has fallen short distances onto wood/tile surfaces and the case has kept it from scratching or breaking. The only part of the system that may become damaged when the XL is closed (not flipped open) is the top portion with the hinge, triggers, and game port. I don't think any case could protect that part anyway, because the hinge can't be blocked, plus the IR, charger port, game port, and triggers are up there.
:OVERALL: 9/10
There isn't much to complain about with this case, I've had it for a few months and it shows no sign of wear-and-tear (not even a scratch in the plastic). The material used seems to be perfectly designed for protection, ease of use, and comfort. The only thing I can say (and this is true for all protective cases) is that the it does add a bit of weight to the system (less than hard plastic or metal cases though), so sometimes if I plan to play for a long time and I'm not going to be moving around enough to accidentally drop my 3DS, I will remove it and put it back on when I'm done. Because the case is designed so well, the removal and replacement is quick and easy, so I'd say that's another plus for the case. Buy HORI cases, they are inexpensive and I think they are unrivaled in terms of quality.

As shown in the stock photo, this TPU cover is the Japanese version - the only difference is the logo on the bottom left of the top part, which says "Nintendo 3DS LL".

Only suitable for the original 3DS XL (model without the c-stick).
