  • LAD First Baseman #5
Freeman followed Mookie Betts’ go-ahead 10th-inning single with a majestic 383-foot missile to right field off Mets reliever Jorge López to give Los Angeles a commanding three-run lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. The 34-year-old also delivered a key run-scoring single in the eighth inning that jump-started the Dodgers’ late-inning rally. He hasn’t been an otherworldly force of nature at the dish, but still boasts an .855 OPS with six homers and one steal across 56 games.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #38
Megill brought some of his best stuff of the season in the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field, limiting Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup to just three hits and one walk over seven sharp frames. He threw seven different pitches, and also touched 98.1 mph on his four-seam fastball, in the longest scoreless outing of his career. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer with at least seven strikeouts in back-to-back starts since returning last week from the injured list and is in line for another home outing on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. The 28-year-old righty is absolutely worthy of at least a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats moving forward. It’ll be fascinating to see if he can keep this up.
  • NYM Shortstop #70
Stearns added that Williams recently received a second cortisone injection in his right wrist and added that surgery could be an option. The 20-year-old top prospect remains without a timetable to return to game action for Double-A Binghamton and the major concern now is that he’ll wind up missing the rest of the season, if he winds up needing surgery to address the issue. He’s been out of action since April 21. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming weeks.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #29
It’s fitting that only Mother Nature herself could prevent fantasy managers from watching a highly-anticipated pitcher’s duel on Tuesday evening between Detroit ace Tarik Skubal and Pirates electrifying rookie Jared Jones. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on Wednesday instead with Skubal and Jones squaring off in the opening contest of the twin bill. It’ll be dynamic top prospect Paul Skenes taking the ball in the nightcap affair.
  • SF First Baseman #31
Wade has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain and is expected to miss roughly four weeks after suffering the ailment during Monday’s contest against the Phillies. The 30-year-old on-base machine, who leads the majors with a .470 on-base percentage this season, hurt his hamstring initially last Friday while stretching to grab Matt Chapman’s game-saving throw against the Mets. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him back until sometime in late June.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #17
Eovaldi will take the ball on Tuesday evening against the Diamondbacks following a three-week stint on the injured list recovering from a right groin strain. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has remained a rock-solid mid-rotation stabilizer for fantasy managers this season, when healthy, with a sparkling 2.61 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 44/19 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings (seven starts).
  • TEX Left Fielder #36
Langford will make his highly-anticipated return for Tuesday’s showdown against Arizona on the heels of a three-week absence recovering from a right hamstring strain. The 22-year-old top prospect hasn’t exactly set the fantasy landscape ablaze following a sizzling-hot spring training performance, batting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one steal in 129 plate appearances over 31 contests. Given his immense raw talent, it certainly feels like only a matter of time before he heats up.
  • TEX Center Fielder #32
Carter will ostensibly swap places with fellow top prospect Wyatt Langford as he’ll get some extra time off in an effort to reset mentally after batting just .165 (15-for-91) with three homers and one steal over his last 30 contests. The 21-year-old top prospect hits the shelf in the midst of an 0-for-20 hitless streak at the dish dating back to May 10. It’s far too early to be concerned long-term with Carter, but this season has certainly been an unexpected speed bump following last year’s stellar late-season debut and playoff performance.
  • BOS Right Fielder #17
O’Neill has been sent back to Boston to undergo additional imaging for precautionary reason to rule out anything significant. The 28-year-old slugger has missed three straight contests due to right knee soreness, but it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. There’s a chance he’s back in Boston’s lineup when they return to Fenway Park for Thursday’s series opener against the Tigers.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #52
Clevinger was scratched from Tuesday’s scheduled outing against the Blue Jays after receiving a cortisone shot to address the issue. The 33-year-old right-hander is expected to resume throwing at some point later this week and is expected to be ready to return in early June when first eligible to be activated.
